*Thrifty Ballerina* Commencement

Today is the beginning of something new.  An adventure I'm about to embark on: The wonderful world of blogging!

I never imagined having a blog.  In fact, I've always been truly amazed by the content and thought put into blogs.  I am amazed by how people write, how they share ideas and feelings, how creative they are.

As of yesterday, I had NO PLANS of having a blog.  Yesterday afternoon, I posted a link to an amazing non-profit store in Lancaster (...let me give a quick shout out to "Lancaster Creative Reuse," since they're the very reason my Facebook post started the concept of me having a blog...).  Within seconds of my Facebook (aka "FB") post, I had LOVELY friends liking my post and beginning to comment on their love of the store.  One friend even suggested I start a blog because of all the links and deals and ideas I share on FB...and I literally laughed out loud at the thought but kindly thanked her for her compliment.  But, her suggestion...a simple, sweet suggestion...has started it all.

My mind has been hooked...thinking of a name for my blog.  Envisioning the colors of the background, the profile picture I'd post.  I even had trouble falling asleep last night because my mind attached to this new opportunity.  And, just before falling asleep...the name HIT ME.  *Thrifty Ballerina*

*Thrifty Ballerina*...huh?

Those of you that know me...know I am a stay-at-home mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend, dance instructor, and tutor (to name a few).  I love a good bargain...I love thrift shopping and garage sales.  I love sharing these "finds" with others.

So, I'm combining my passion for shopping and thrifting and bargain hunting...with my love of dance...to create my blog and its name.  I'm proud to introduce you to *Thrifty Ballerina*.  A place to learn about local deals, links to coupons and other great websites, introduce you to other amazing blogs, and inspire you...to believe in yourself, to grow in your faith, to spread love to those around you, and to be the person God created you to be.

Welcome to *Thrifty Ballerina*!!!
